Sponsors

Every pair of Supershoes is funded by donations from kind sponsors, who come in all shapes and sizes…..

From parents of previous recipients who want to ‘pay forward’ the gift of Supershoes, to fundarisers who have organised an event of some description in order to make a donation. We receive one-off payments from some and regular sponsorship from others. Some want to remain anonymous, whilst others are happy to share their donation and/or story.

Here are some of those we are able to share with you.

St Mary's & Dunstone 2nd Plymstock cubs walk for Oliver

Super Oliver was a proud recipient of his very own pair of Supershoes back on the 1st July 2018. His younger brother Benjamin is a member of St Mary’s & Dunstone 2nd Plymstock cubs, and they wanted to help someone! With that in mind they set about planning a sponsored walk of a little over 7 miles along a riverside before climbing high enough to enjoy the Devon Coast. All the cubs did an amazing job and raised a phenomenal £1,347.50. To add a bit of colour and fun all the cubs and volunteer leaders wore a touch of pink as it was Oliver’s favourite colour. Unfortunately, Oliver wasn’t well enough to join them but he was at the start to wave them off and the end to cheer them home. Sadly Oliver passed away on the 2nd November 2019 and his shoes live on as a wonderful memory to his family of fun and bright times.
