Super Artists

Each & every one of our Super Artists are volunteers who donate their time and talent to create Supershoes for children fighting cancer.

“Supershoes is an incredible concept, I’m so proud to be part of such an excellent cause. It is a great honour to be able to lend my skill set to make a lot of unfortunate, brave children happy.”

Super Artist - Aimee

A pharmacy technician at her local hospital, with a diploma in art and design. She has a little girl and enjoys painting very much.

“I love painting for supershoes because I love the joy we bring to the children.”

Super Artist - Alan

A tattooist, custom airbrush artist and self-confessed complete comic nerd.

“Knowing that something I did brought a smile to a little persons face is the best feeling in the world.”

Super Artist - Ali

A Mum to teenage son and professional carer. Trained as lawyer then mental health nurse. Maker of creative cakes and biscuits.

“I heard about Supershoes through Facebook. Thrilled to get involved in this inspiring project which crafts shoes as unique and individual as the amazing children who will receive them.”

Super Artist - Alison

An experienced face painter and body artist who met Sarah at a Christmas event. She loves the challenge of creating a design that works on an irregular shape - perfect for Supershoes!

“The best part of being involved with Supershoes is the smile on each child’s face when they receive something that’s been made just for them”

Super Artist - Alison

Alison joined the Supershoes team after being made unemployed from a job she loved. She wanted something to fill her time, and wanted to push herself. Alison does a lot of creative crafts but doesn't consider herself artistic!

“I started painting Supershoes as a challenge to myself and I feel like I've learned so much! I paint at home and also whenever I have a peaceful (don't say the "q" word!) shift at work - I will happily be painting away inbetween taking 999 calls for the ambulance service. Luckily for me they don't mind, as long as I'm concentrating on the calls when they come in. I love getting feedback from the children we paint for - the first pair I painted made me cry in frustration, but it was all worth it when I saw a picture of the recipient grinning ear to ear.”

Super Artist - Amanda

A face and body paint artist who specialises in body confidence through body art.

“The thought of making them smile, even for a moment makes me a Supershoes addict!”

Super Artist - Amanda

Mum to two little girls, who would do anything to make them smile.

“Creating Supershoes to bring smiles to other children in need of a happy moment is not only a pleasure but an honour”

Super Artist - Amanda

A busy mum of four, an award winning tattoo artist and all-round crafter.

“If I can help to put a smile on a child's face and just let them be a child for a moment, through all they must endure then I am blessed and honoured to do so.”

Super Artist - Amy

Amy started painting Supershoes as a personal project after being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia (chronic pain and fatigue)

“I love painting the shoes and as a mum of two myself, I'm now totally addicted to putting smiles on these children's faces!”

Super Artist - Andrew

Andrew is a father of four girls and coaches American Football. Is biggest passion is painting.

“I’m a big believer in colour being able to brighten any mood, so after being given a chance to paint Supershoes, I able to share my passion for colour and hopefully create some smiles along the way!”
