Super Sam's Story

Super Sam's Story April 2020

Sam was diagnosed with a wilms tumour in September 2019. After undergoing surgery Sam was very much looking forward to receiving his new Supershoes inspired by his love of the computer game Rocket League.

Super Sam’s Journey

Sam was diagnosed with a wilms tumour in September 2019. He started chemotherapy straight away. Four sessions initially then he had surgery to remove the tumour and his kidney. He is now recovering from the operation and will require a further 6 months of chemotherapy.

“Sam is delighted with his Supershoes and thinks they are extremely cool. His design was deliberately subtle so he didn’t grow out of it and the artist has done a great job of creating exactly what he wanted. Sam is of course in complete isolation during lockdown but looks forward to running around in them when he can get outside.” - Sam’s Family.

The Supershoes

Sam was very specific in his design brief and asked our talented artists to create Supershoes based on his favourite computer game called Rocket League. Sam wished the colour scheme to be blue, black and white mottled effect and to reference his favourite car in the game, The Titanium White Octane!
