Super Franki’s Journey
Becki, Franki’s mum has written such a beautiful piece about Franki, that we simply had to share it here!
Over the last few months, Franki has been through more than any child should ever have to face. What first seemed like a virus gradually turned into something much more serious and in January this year she was diagnosed with a brain tumour after weeks of worrying symptoms and hospital visits without answers. She underwent brain surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital and was later diagnosed with a grade 3 ependymoma. Since then, she has also completed six weeks of proton beam radiotherapy, alongside further hospital admissions and complications during treatment.
Through everything, what has amazed us most is Franki herself. Even in the hardest moments, she has continued to find reasons to smile, laugh and be playful. She has handled things with a resilience that is difficult to put into words. While recovery continues and there are still challenges ahead, Franki is taking things one day at a time, adapting to so much while still very much being her bright and joyful self.
That is why your artwork means so much to us. These are not just shoes, they are something joyful, personal and full of everything that makes Franki, Franki. After such a difficult time, seeing her excitement and pride wearing something made especially for her was incredibly special. They will always hold such special memories for us and even when she eventually grows out of them, they are something we will treasure and keep forever.

The Supershoes
Franki has always had the most amazing personality. She is curious, funny, bright and determined. She has always been fascinated by space, so much so that by the age of two she knew all of the planets, including the dwarf planets, which never stopped amazing us. Seeing the galaxy theme woven into the shoes alongside the playful elements of Paw Patrol that reflect her personality felt incredibly emotional for us.
