Super Oliver's Story

Super Oliver's Story April 2023

A pair of Supershoes was just the thing to give Super Oliver a boost, following a bone marrow transplant...

Super Oliver’s Journey

Super Oliver was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in 2022. Following 2 rounds of chemotherapy, he underwent a bone marrow transplant. He’s had a rocky recovery from this, with a long, 4-month stay in hospital, including 11 days in intensive care. Ollie’s mum, Agnieszka, says the cap was just the thing to cheer him up. He wears it with pride. She wanted to thank Super Artist Claudia for including all Ollie’s favourite things in such a fun way. It was our pleasure to organise it for you, Ollie! We wish you well with your continuing recovery.

Super Oliver’s Diagnosis

The second-most common form of leukaemia in children, after Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia with roughly 70-80 new cases diagnosed in children each year. Find out more about Acute Myeloid Leukaemia

The Supershoes

When Oliver was in hospital, he loved watching the helicopters landing, and so wanted a helicopter on his Supercap. He also asked for Chase McCain, from Lego City, and his favourite sport, cricket. Super Artist Claudia was only to happy to oblige, along with a very funky version of Oliver’s name! Ollie 1
