Every pair of Supershoes is funded by donations from kind sponsors, who come in all shapes and sizes…..

From parents of previous recipients who want to ‘pay forward’ the gift of Supershoes, to fundarisers who have organised an event of some description in order to make a donation. We receive one-off payments from some and regular sponsorship from others. Some want to remain anonymous, whilst others are happy to share their donation and/or story.

Whittlebury Park GC Captains Charity

One of our Super Volunteers, Gill Long is the Lady Captain at Whittlebury Park Golf Club - & we were the chosen charity at this years Captain Charity’s event. During the Auction, the Auctioneer asked if anyone in the room would like to donate £50 to allow us to create a pair of Supershoes for brave children who are in treatment for Cancer & so many attendees raised their hands! In fact, an incredible £1000 was raised by the kind & generous sponsors - which will allow us to create a staggering 20 pair of shoes!!

Super Matthew Isherwood is a member of Widnes Fire Cadets who have supported him through his cancer journey. The Cadets completed a bag pack to raise money for Supershoes and Click Sergeant! Amazing !!

A charity tuck shop was set up in our kitchen at the council with all profits being donated to Supershoes. Ashley McCluskey was inspired by Supershoes’ work. She said “I came across your charity whilst looking for a worthy cause to donate to and was inspired by what your charity does.It would be a huge privilege to sponsor a pair of shoes on behalf of Wigan Town Council Finance team”.

The Stephanie Jeanne Glynn Foundation has been created by her husband and close family members, named in honour of and as a legacy to Steph after she tragically passed away from a brain tumour in January 2021. Steph adored children and likewise, they doted on her. It had always been a dream to raise children of her own. In Steph’s name then, the charity will help children who are less fortunate than others. Like Steph herself, the charity will be a force for good and one that has a positive impact on young people - helping them to try and enjoy life to the full in the way that she always did.
