Here at Supershoes, we have been lucky enough to witness many acts of kindness & generosity, but when this came through from Super Chloe’s mum about her two amazing daughters, it really touched our hearts…..
Chloe is 12 years old and was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia) in September and has been going through a full on course of treatment. As horrible as the chemo is she rarely complains and still puts others first even though she feels pretty rubbish sometimes.
Throughout our journey we have met some incredible people whose children are going through the same situation and we are constantly in awe of how brave the children are and the support that each family offers each other. One of these families , who have become lifelong friends, introduced us to your charity . They explained what you do and how amazing you are but most importantly just how much the kids love their Supershoes and how proud they are to wear them.
So when Chloe received hers, they took our breath away…. They are amazing! Your talented Super Artist Mona created them following Chloe’s guidelines of her interests and we would like to thank her for them.
Our other daughter Abbie is 16 years old and decided that she wanted to do something to say thank you and to give something back, so she made some bracelets . Each bracelet was made up of coloured glass beads and each colour represented a different type of cancer.
Abbie originally hoped to raise enough money to fund one pair of Supershoes but due to demand kept making them and she managed to raise an amazing £1000!!!
We are so very proud of both our girls and hope that all of the children that benefit from your kindness and generosity love their Supershoes as much as Chloe does.
We really are so grateful to Abbie for all the hard word she must have put into raising these funds. With this donation we will be able to fund Supershoes for 20 children, which is truly amazing!
